About Me

Heather Jewell, M.Ed, LPC

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to the belief that you're the expert in your own life. Every day, I'm privileged to witness clients transform and grow, regardless of how long they have felt "stuck."

I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your messy, authentic self.  Nothing you bring is "too much" for me. Here, people can talk honestly and vulnerably without the weight of judgment. I’m a “take your shoes off and get comfortable” kind of therapist (don't worry, that part isn't mandatory!). I wear jeans to work, and often find myself laughing with clients. I want you to feel welcome.

While the atmosphere is relaxed, our work is deeply intentional. I specialize in working with individuals 12+ using an integrative framework of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy.  For couples, I utilize Attachment-based therapy. This means I want you to walk away with practical skills you can use the same day to improve your life.

I have a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, as well as Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. I have an amazing blended family that includes three incredible kids, and love to travel, read, and serve in my church and community. I also offer faith based counseling if desired.
